Didilon-Hödl, a former goalkeeper of Monaco and Cercle Brugge, suffered the injury during the opening game of the Eredivisie. The team lost 4-1 to Go Ahead Eagles and tests after the game revealed a further blow for the team, with Didilon-Hödl now out for a few months. The former Monacolegend was a key player in the team's return to the top flight, having saved a penalty and scored the decisive spot kick in their play-off victory against FC Volendam. Didilon-Hödl began his career in France with Metz, with his first experience in Belgian football in the 2014/2015 season with RFC Seraing. He played 71 games for Metz before joining Anderlecht in 2018, playing 46 games with a brief loan period at Genk. In 2020, he joined Cercle Brugge and was a key player for the team with 59 games. Monaco, the joint owners of Cercle Brugge, brought him in on loan for the 2022/2023 season. Didilon-Hödl played however only one game for Monaco before he eventually left Belgian and French football to sign for Willem II. Didilon-Hödl has been with Willem II since 2024, playing 82 games in total. The experienced Wouter van der Steen may be set for a prolonged spell in goal, unless Willem II decide to dip into the transfer market to cover for Didilon-Hödl.
